Wondering what Brother Bruce Hunt '73 has been up to? Here's what he had to say:

"I graduated from EIU in 1973 after two plus years as a member of Sigma Chi Eta Mu.  I have many great memories of jam sessions in the basement of the old red house getting ready for Greek Sing, athletics in Fall, Winter and Spring, Derby Days, study hours in the dining room, and the exploits of Wiener Man and his side-kick, Baller.

All those experiences helped me get where I was going in good style.  I've been an educator, restauranteur, financial advisor, hotelier, Rotary Club Executive Director, and I serve currently as the Executive Director for the United States Tennis Association Southern California.  Our offices are on the campus of UCLA at the LA Tennis Center.  Our office is next to the offices of the UCLA Women's team coached by Stella Sampras, the sister of Pete, and the Men's team coached by Billy Martin.

My job is great because I get to work with people engaged in the tennis business and often become friends with tennis personalities who were my heroes when I was growing up like the late Vic Braden, Pam Shriver, Justin Gimelstob, Patrick McEnroe, Hank Pfister and others.  My wife and I still have a condo in San Diego because Mary Ruth is VP of University Relations and Development for San Diego State.  I have an apartment in Westwood and I can walk to UCLA most days.  It's great to be a Sig!"
